Construction is moving along at the Cabrillo Way Marina Phase II Project - in fact, it is
nearly at the half-way point to completion. And considering the amount of
rain and number of rainy days we've had this year, that's a big accomplishment!
On the water side, about 80 boat slips have already been completed and you can see
them from 22nd Street. All those concrete poles with the white caps on
them are actually the pilings making up the slips. When the marina is
complete there will be 700 new slips which will accommodate boats from 28' to
130' long. On the land side, underground utilities are being placed as well as
other infrastructure. The portion closest to 22nd Street is taking shape. Work on the Promenade is scheduled to
begin in the next few months with the entire project scheduled for completion in
summer 2011. Click
