Long-term Plans

What makes a port such a special place?  The water and all the activity it brings!  The goal of the entire LA Waterfront project, from Wilmington to San Pedro, is to bring the water to the people so that the "theatre of the port" can be more fully enjoyed by all our visitors.

On the Wilmington side, the LA Waterfront will run from Avalon Boulevard to Figueroa, from the water to C Street and will include recreation areas, green spaces, plazas, gathering spaces and a business district.

On the San Pedro side, the LA Waterfront will run from the Vincent Thomas Bridge to Cabrillo Beach and will encompass 8 miles of continuous promenade, recreation areas, green space, plazas, gathering spaces and new business enterprises including a new cruise ship terminal.
