PROMENADE & WATER CUTS
The planned promenade and water cuts creation are scheduled to take place in Phase I.
To accommodate visiting tallships in a centralized viewing area, the 1.5-acre Downtown Harbor will be created adjacent to the existing Los Angeles Maritime Museum. Consisting of two side-by-side slips, the Downtown Harbor will provide ample room for any future Festival of Sail/TallShips LA events as well as the occasional solo tallship visit.
Also accommodated in the Downtown Harbor area will be the existing slips for the Port's Angelena vessel and Port Police vessels. Crowley tugboats will also remain in this area but will temporarily be relocated during any large-scale tallships events.
