TOWN SQUARE & PLAZAS

To create a gathering place and natural gateway to downtown San Pedro, a Town Square will be constructed round the existing Los Angeles Maritime Museum at the foot of 6th Street.

This  nearly one-acre area would include a continuation of the waterfront promenade, landscaped areas, gathering areas and tiered seat walls for a one-of-a-kind view of the Port's Main Channel and the Downtown Harbor. Also in this general area is the Ralph J. Scott Display Structure.

The Promenade in the Town Square and Seat Wall will be constructed at a lower profile so that the view to the water is not interrupted.

Below are the slides showing options for this area - please share with us your opinions on these options by completely and e-mailing the form at the bottom of this page.
