HISTORIC WATERFRONT WAREHOUSE AVAILABLE FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT


The Port of Los Angeles is seeking a public-private partnership to redevelop the historic Warehouse No. 1 as a commercial and visitor-serving facility. With panoramic views of the LA Waterfront and Santa Catalina Island, the municipal building is one the most iconic and recognizable at the Port.

PORT BREAKS GROUND ON PROMENADE & TOWN SQUARE PROJECT

The Port of Los Angeles held a ground breaking ceremony for the San Pedro Promenade and Town Square Project on Monday, January 27. The Project begins at 6th Street, just east of Harbor Boulevard and ends at Berth 74 in San Pedro. Plans for this area include the first phase of a promenade along the water's edge, visitor restrooms and additional public landing for recreational boaters. The project is in coordination with the planned San Pedro Public Market, scheduled to open in 2021.

SAN PEDRO WATERFRONT PLANS ADVANCE; GROUNDBREAKING SET FOR SPRING 2020

With an environmental review expected to start soon for the proposed 5,000-seat outdoor amphitheater and some tenant agreements close to signing, plans for the new waterfront development in San Pedro are going as planned, according to both port officials and developers.

ALTASEA TO RECEIVE $5 MILLION PHILANTHROPIC DONATION FROM LUNDQUISTS

Southern California philanthropists Richard and Melanie Lundquist have made a $5 million gift to AltaSea at the Port of Los Angeles to advance ocean sustainability programs. The Lundquists’ gift was made in memory of their friend Leonard Aube, the late Executive Director of the Annenberg Foundation who died in 2015 and was the driving force behind the creation of AltaSea.
